Good Bye Phnom Penh - Goodbye Bob and Pam

We have left Phnom Penh and the excellent home of Bob and Pam Toan and headed up to Siem Reap. Before we left Phnom Penh we visited a couple of local sites including Wat Phnom and the Royal Palace, with its silver Pagoda (don't let the name fool you it is only the floor which is silver not the whole thing and we couldn't take photos inside).

Wat Phnom, named after a woman who
was an important lady in the city.

Birds at the top of Wat Phnom you can pay to release
at a Buddhist shrine to balance a bad deed you have done
The Royal Palace

Below are some examples of Cambodia transport, taken from out of our Tuk Tuk.

Family day out

Sitting side saddle is common and the
polite thing to do if they are not married

Two Tuk Tuk loaded up to the brim. We saw some so heavy
they couldn't get up a hill so they had to get out and push

The wonderful Bob and Pam Toan who looked after us, housed us, fed us and guided us.
We can not thank them enough for their generosity. Especially for linking us to all the projects.
